- As you renovate your home it is important to update your wiring.
- Electrical plugs should never feel hot to the touch.
- Electrical heaters we recommend should be on a dedicated circuit.
- Electrical panels and breakers should never be hot to the touch.
- Smoke detectors should be in every bedroom.
- Extension cords in leu of wiring is very dangerous.
- Unplug all electrical appliances before repairing or cleaning.
- Turn off a light before replacing the bulb.
- If your smoke detector runs on electricity, have a battery backup in case of a power failure.
- Replace frayed or cracked electrical cords with new ones.
